Two Ways to Increase a Child’s Learning Speed

When it comes to learning how to increase a child’s learning speed, this is what every parent must know: it is possible and it’s much easier than you think. Now that we’ve gotten that “secret” out in the open, let me show you what you need to know to learn how to increase a child’s learning speed.

By the end of this article, I’m sure you would have a clearer understanding of what you can do and how to increase a child’s learning speed.

The truth is there are a lot of ways to increase your child’s ability to learn. You can check out speed learning courses or tutorial centres and many more. Another way to do that is to buy books about mental arithmetic or speed learning.

In this article though, we will focus on two things that you could do yourself and at the comfort of your own home. Specifically, we will discuss what speed reading is and how you could use music to help increase your child’s learning speed.

Speed Reading

In order to increase the rate of learning of your child, a very big factor to the success of that is to teach them how to speed read.

Although “speed reading” sounds like something that is so complex or complicated, you can really help your child learn about it in a few easy steps.

When you child is starting with speed reading, the first thing you need to do is to do your research. Focus on techniques about speed reading that is perfect for your child’s age or reading comprehension.

But if you do not have time to do your own research, here are some tried and tested ways to increase a child’s reading speed and his learning speed in general. My favourite techniques is to use a “guide” when I’m reading.

When I say use a “guide” this just means that you should point to the words that you are using. When you block out other lines or words, you will be more focused and you wouldn’t be tempted to go back to the previous line or words. This increases focus and concentration.

Listening to Music

Regardless of whether or not your child is an auditory learner, listening to music can really help them increase their learning speed.

Music can sharpen a child’s memory and concentrations. Recent discoveries show that when your brain is stimulated by certain beats or sounds, the absorption of memory will be easier. If you will use music for your child’s learning, it is best to stick with baroque music or any song by Mozart.
