My First Macau Experience

It is always fun to be in a new place and the best thing to do to check the new place out is go out and walk your way around, that if you are going to be in a small city.

Getting myself to visit Macau is not easy. Getting my ticket, passport and all other stuff plus I am working so I can't think straight of what else I need to be able to get to Macau.

When we were about to touch down, pilot said that it's going to be 19 degrees celcius when we get to Macau. I don't think it's 19, I think it is less than 19. I said, 'Fuck! It's cold.' Seriously, it is cold. I am not used to cold. I need more socks, a human body to keep me warm. Lucky me I have a human body hehe... Nahhh.... don't ask me for details.

The next day was fun. We were in Taipa and a bus can take us to Macau. There are different bus stops and you need to learn some Portugese because it is not easy to learn Chinese so learning Portugese is better. Everything is in Chinese and Portugese. This small island was once ruled by Portugese. There are a lot of structures that are almost the same structures found in the Philippines. Everything is high rise. You can't see a single house in here or I wasn't able to see one maybe I need to walk more.

When you are in Taipa, you can see China already. Macau and China is like a creek away from each other. You'd know that because you'd see China's Flag on the other side of the creek. I haven't been to casinos yet nor I planned to go there but someone told me that there are stores inside and you can just do shopping and you don't have to play. Would love to try bungee jumping but I think my knees got week. I think I'll pass on that.

I'll write more in few days.

Rainy Road Trip

It is supposed to be Sunday and I am supposed to be sleeping all day and watching TV but I got work to do. We, at MTC Academy, was invited to participate on a Jobs Fair at Digos City. We represented the ICT, Business and Medical Transcriptions and what are the jobs available for this sector. We love Digos because of it's yummy Rice Cake, Puto with Dinuguan and the Sotanghon.

As part of the marketing job that I am to do, I don't have a choice and since the only way to generate awareness and to continue the advocacy, even if it is Sunday I got to go there. I love to travel no matter how boring it is and for whatever is the purpose.

When we got to Digos, the weather seems to hate me and my boss, Wit Holganza, for it rained heavily and really not a good time for people to go to Jobs Fair. What we did, we bought handicrafts and green mangoes and of course, we hop in to the Agri Fair of the city to check on what's being displayed.

I just can't wait for Sunday. I love the beach, I love burning my skin, I love the water, I love the fun, I love the glasses, I love the food, I just love the beach. I'm gonna choose the green bikini top for now.

One Day Travel To Kidapawan

My road trip for this month is going to a city where people will give you fruits for free. Nyahhh...that was what they've told me when I hop in to the red pick up truck. I know that there are no longer free items that would be given to you these days. I thought, well it is a province, why not. Road trip to Kidapawan City.

We left Davao City around 5pm and we got to Kidapawan City around 7pm. The reason why I join these guys (Mitch, Loyd, Jean and Novo) is because I would want to go to Dax's place and would like to get some peppercorns.

The green peppercorns are supposed to be up in the peppercorn vines but Dax has to show it to us. The black ones are the real pepper that we should use when we are cooking. Here is a tip: BEWARE some peppercorns sold at the market are not true peppercorns.

I was not happy seeing the green peppercorns, I would like to see the vines, and the ripe peppercorns that are harvested then dried and then used for cooking food.

We get to eat dinner at Dax's house too. Lucky for us, we were able to eat Durian for free.

Here are more pictures of Kidapawan City at night. Very nice city lights.
