My first time to join Kadayawan. I thought it'll be a waste of time when you join. I am born in Davao and yet I never had the chance to join the a parade nor join a city's competition. Now I am glad that I did.
Friday when we went out to get some flowers. Saturday night when we started to decorate the float. To our dismay, it rained hard that night so we have to wait till the rain stopped. Sunday, 5am, when it was 80% done and we don't have a choice but to stop what we are doing because we need to prepare for the parade. Imagine that, no sleep for 24 hours and counting.
Competing floats should be its designated area by 6 am. Judges are here, there and everywhere. Wow! This is so nice. Of course, we didn't get to finish our float but we are happy the way it is. There were bigger floats with lots of flowers and there were floats with no other flowers except orchids.
Thanks to Christian Te for the pictures.
Today is your day, your mountain is waiting, so get on your way. Time to move on, time to forget

A University of the Southeastern Philippines Experience
August 18, 2007, Kadayawan sa Dabaw. It was also the day that University of Southeastern Philippines Society of Information Technology Students celebrated their SITS Day.
It rained the night before, and I didn't expect that at 7:30am they were not yet prepared. I was quite hesitant to offer help because there are a lot of things in my mind and I might cram if I think of a lot of things. The usual things happened, Digital Projector is not set to the laptop we were using. One thing also, you could not see what is being projected on the white screen. The white screen is a white clothe. Oh well, I would still would like to say a shout out to Charmaine, the president, because she's so small and she made it happened. I know she can do better next time.
I would like to give a shout out to Carlo too, he's a good master of ceremony. Also to Mam Dean Mamilic who gave a Spongebob inspiration.
The event turned out very well, as what we wanted it to be. Everyone is listening and I know that for a fact because they were actually asking us questions. I would love to go back there and teach them how to do blogging and what is Google Adsense.

My Own Guerrilla Marketing
Businesses nowadays would spend not more than thousands of money just to let others or prospects that they exist. Let us take me as an example.
Hi! I am Hunee Royo, I dream to have my own company 5 years from now. After 5 years I wish it'll reach from south to north of my country. After 5 years, I wish to conquer the rest of the world too engaging in export. After 5 years again, I dream and wish that my employees for 10-15 years would have a share at the company I have started.
In reality, I only have a hundred thousand. How do I start a business with only a hundred thousand and I have to compete with the existing companies. These companies market madly that I get to be intimidated sometimes. Also, in reality, I am just a marketing assistant at MTC Academy Davao. It is a medical transcription school.
My own guerrilla marketing starts from me everyday. My work would start around 8am but I am in the office at 6:30am. Asking me why? I am in the office at 6:30am because I wanted to do 15 things daily and not just 8-10 hours. Normal working hours is 8 hours, and to really maximize your 8 hour you do 10 things do to everyday. For me I would spend 12 hours in the office to do at least 15 things to do. That's a guerrilla marketing for me. Before I can make my dream a reality I have to start with the little things I do today.
My everyday counts, hours, minutes, and seconds counts. I need to do things religiously so that I can achieve my goal as an employee, as a person, and someday I will bring this attitude as a businesswoman. I believe guerrilla marketing starts with how I do my daily task. Do I let a day just pass me by with nothing to do? Do I have "I'm tired today, I'll do that tomorrow" attitude? Do I make everything on my own without asking help from a third party? And so on and so forth.
In guerrilla marketing, irregardless of how little you spend, you will spend anyway. In guerrilla marketing, irregardless of you don't like to talk to people everyday, you will talk anyway. You don't want to do this but you do that anyway. In guerrilla marketing, it simply describe the way effective marketing should be done without incurring too much expenses in execution of a plan. This effective marketing is the daily routine that we do whether social, or it is because we are paid to do so which is our job.
Everyone has a dream and the execution of that dream will begin in our own daily guerrilla marketing. My own guerrilla marketing starts from the very beginning my mother has taught me to walk, to speak and sends me out to school. If you try to look back you are actually doing marketing, the guerrilla way, without spending a lot. Guerrilla marketing is not about a company, it is more about you as a person. When you do it right, you do your job in a company right, you do your job as a family member right, and you do your job as a person right.
Be a guerrilla marketer. Be true.

NOKIA Battery BL-5C; At Risk to Explode??
Nokia issued a product advisory on its BL-5C battery. The problem is: the battery could explode.
On the advisory given by Nokia, the battery was manufactured in Japan by Matsushita Battery Industrial Co. between December 2005 and November 2006. The BL-5C is one of the batteries used by Nokia.

Nevertheless, a bevy of Nokia devices are affected. Here’s the list.Nokia has identified that in very rare cases the Nokia-branded BL-5C batteries subject to the product advisory could potentially experience overheating initiated by a short circuit while charging, causing the battery to dislodge. Nokia is working closely with Matsushita and will be cooperating with relevant authorities to investigate this situation.Nokia has several suppliers for BL-5C batteries who have collectively produced more than 300 million BL-5C batteries. This advisory applies only to the 46 million batteries manufactured by Matsushita between December 2005 and November 2006, from which there have been approximately 100 incidents of overheating reported globally. No serious injuries or property damage have been reported.Consumers with a BL-5C battery subject to this advisory should note that all of the approximately 100 incidents have occurred while charging the battery. According to Nokia's knowledge this issue does not affect any other use of the mobile device. While the occurrences in the BL-5C batteries produced by Matsushita in the time-period specified are very rare, concerned consumers can request a replacement for any BL-5C battery subject to this product advisory.

In order to determine if a battery is subject to this advisory, it is necessary to remove the battery from the device. A Nokia battery will have "Nokia" and "BL-5C" printed on the front of the battery. On the reverse, the Nokia mark appears at the top and the battery identification number (consisting of 26 characters) is found at the bottom. A comparison of that number with those subject to this advisory will determine a consumer's ability to obtain a replacement free of charge.

My Tigatto Adventure
Monday morning, not that cold though. I like Mondays, it is the "bring it to me" time. I love going out especially to places that I'm not familiar with. It is this day that will decide whether I can do something better for the whole week.
I went out to meet someone in her office in Tigatto, Buhangin. It is a place in Davao that I am not used to. The first time I got there with Michelle was in 2006. We took a taxi ride in going there so there's not too much a problem. This time, I am confident that I will be able to find the office of Ms. Sol because she said, "We are just in Tigatto, along the right side. If you see a container van that is ours." Oh, well, I can do this. I know there is a jeepney ride going to Tigatto, so I took that ride. The driver told me, "This is my last stop Miss. You can ride a motorcycle to go to the place you want to." Then I said, "WTF!" I waited for 30-40 minutes for that motorcycle, and it is completely a waste of time so I asked around where is the nearest school because Ms. Sol said just look for a public school we are just in front of that school. This old lady said, "It is just way up ahead. It is just near here." Alright, there you go it is just near here. I decided to walk.
Oh , dear, where is that near thing that this old lady says when I am actually walking for 45minutes now and I still don't see the container van nor the public school. Damn! It is so hot, it is 11am in my watch now where the heck is that office.
There you go I see the container van, and since I am meeting up a person who owns this company I'm visiting I have to check how I look in the mirror. Good Lord! It look like I was robbed. Oh, dear, I don't have the choice since I am already here I have to let that person see me sweating and smelly. I smell like the heat of the sun. Good thing I worn a very light shirt. I just feel sticky especially when I got inside the office because there was an AC.
Going back to the city is another thing. Don't tell me I should walk again? Oh no I'm not going to walk, I will wait for a jeepney. Standing for 30 minutes again waiting for that jeepney ride? Today is Monday, it shouldn't be this way. Now it's 12:30pm, lunch time. One motorcycle ride. Alright, I'll go for the motorcycle ride as long as it will take me to the city. Another long ride under the heat of the sun.
Lesson learned: Ask your boss for a taxi ride.
This is my job, and good thing about all this is that I was able to experience it, a little funny when I try to remember what happened. I was able to go there on my own. I should say this was a great experience, and makes me appreciate and thank people that I was able to do my job because of them.

Morceaux
Quand ?
Je ne sais pas encore.
Je suis effrayé.
_ je devoir demander pour aider.
_ Devoir Je ?
_ morceau

Stressed Out
I think it has been a very hectic day. First, things did not go so well with my personal life. Second, things are getting cranky at work. Third, it is AUGUST!!!!! Damn! Why is it that most of these people around me are expecting too much from me? Or was it me that was too obvious that I can do something for them? Or was I just tired? Do I need a break or what?
I hate to do things in a hurry. I hate it when people are asking me too many things. I hate it when they know I am doing something and there they go.

She's Gone Now
Judy's gone. Around 6:25am, Detroit, Michigan, Judy passed away. All that was left were memories of what Judy is to her family. Friends and family were there all the time so talk to her and tell her it is okey to let go now. I believe Judy will always be here in the hearts of those who loved her. I believe Judy never left. She's just somewhere and was given by God another special task.
I've cried even if she's not related to me. I can still remember how my mom died. It was a sad weekend for me but I have to be strong.
This week was all about reflections to me. I went back to the past looking for what I have done wrong and said sorry for the things I have done. Thanked people who had helped me get through. Now I understand life better. I linger to my understanding for the moment.
Thanks! Judy.
Please leave your comments and prayers for Judy. Thank you so much.
