Selling the Idea? How?
In the case of a service company, how would you know their service is great if you don't try them out. How would you sell the idea then? They don't see your product, how to make them believe that is good for you. You make make money out of it. You can bring down your expenses with this. You can double your money in this one.
Everyday is marketing day. A simple decision on what to wear is a marketing work. How to tell your mom that you are gonna be late because you have an assignment and you would be spending a lot of time inside the library is another marketing work.
Almost everyone I knew does not like my job. I sell an idea that those who would want to change career, take up medical transcription course and after two years you go home base and earn more.
Honestly, it is difficult. I love what I do and this is a dream job although I don't have any background on what I'm trying to sell. Since I love it, I got to learn it on my own. Selling this idea starts from loving your job, self study, dedication and persistence, and continously talk to one person and another. See it's simple.
Technopreneurship for Medical Transcription
In MTC Academy Davao, we always do an Entrepreneurship Seminar for those who wanted to put up a business in medical transcription. Good thing Mrs. Wit Holganza, President of Transcription Alliance of Davao, Inc., raised the question if its possible to have a Technopreneurship subject also with the tech-voc school. It could be a great deal for those who are starting home based medical transcription, and it'll widen the awareness of what is medical transcription. Students from different universities can make softwares for medical transcription. Isn't it great? Wow! People of different sector in Davao are working hand in hand to make a mark for Davao.
Mr. Blogie Robillo was there, a representative of PESO (Philippine Emerging Startups Open) was there also. These people dedicated themselves to technology on how to bring up the enthusiam to make business because they believe everyone has an idea and that idea should be made real for others to benefit also.
I never knew it would come this way for Davao. One advocacy that I told myself is to at least make the Davao graduates stay in Davao instead of going some place else.

Conclusion
I therefore conclude, is the latest state of the art...
Really? Damn gurl! It was never state of the art, it is persistence and love for work. I personally like the blog of Piropos; "A Pinoy Biker's Philippine Rural Adventures". It talks about loving what you do.
At any workplace, I've noticed, when one is assigned to do something and if it's not inclined with what she or he do frequently, it looks like it is too heavy and too difficult to do.
When you do something, you got to have a passion that would come along with it so that you can do it real good. When you do it just because you are required to do it, then it won't turn out good. Conclusion: Damn gurl!
Love what you do. :-)

A Trip to Waniban Mati, Davao Oriental
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
The bad thing about being in the marketing is that the other SIDE of it is money. It is like, if you are not doing your job then you are fired. The money side I was telling you about is the fact that in marketing we do a hell lot of things just to get in some money for the company. It is good for the company and good for some marketing people.
The ugly side of it is that there are some marketing personnel who does not care about the other END of it are the customers or client. This I call, Customer Satisfaction. Some marketing people would like to see things only for the company and for their security on the job. To market does not happen on an overnight, it'll happen not now, not tomorrow, not the next month.
Our boss push us to the bottom where we are not comfortable, because we've never been to that place. We'll never get to know what's in that uncomfortable place unless we get in to it, and if we do we will be able to answer them.

My Journey to Mati
June 9, 2007, Saturday before we left Davao. It was the day when everyone felt "hey, we should be busy" kinda thing. Rushing to buy things to bring to Mati. I've never been to Mati, I decided to sleep at Michelle's house just to be sure that I will be early. Slept at around 2am and woke up at around 4:30am. Took a bath, help prepare things for lunch. I was a little concern with Kuya Dax, he has to be at Michelle's house early before we will leave for Mati. At 5:30am, the ride was here.
Left Davao at around 6am. We got to Madaum, Tagum, at 7am. Wow! Going and going, arrived at Pantukan, Banay banay, Lupon then Mati! With all the zigzag roads and the dinasour island, it was the craziest ride ever.
When we were at Mati, we've met with Ms. Weng at the the public market. Drive to her place at Cahandig, change a little and then took off again to Waniban Island. Nice beach! Love to stay here but they say there are sharks in the deep blue sea water of Waniban.
At dark, there are no light post at all. Dark and scary but real nice for bonfire and some marshmallows and some star gazing. Whewww....had to sleep because I will cook breakfast for everyone.
I prepared breakfast around 5:30 am, walk around the beach, saw some sea urchins and star fish. Seaweeds, and all corals. You can see a lot of fish. I wanted to swim but I have to go back and make breakfast.
Champorado for breakfast and some dilis. I need to get a nap after all these.
We left right after eating the last meal, lunch, and off again to Davao.
This was a great road trip.

I Say Walk The Talk
Is Davao really prepared for this sudden influx of BPO? Do we have necessary manpower, particularly in the case of medical transcription? Transkripsyo, Inc., is a medical transcription company and we all know this kind of profession is doing medical documents which needs a couple of months of training, even for a medical background professional or allied medical professional. If it's gonna be call center industry then we don't have a problem with manpower. If it's going to be medical transcription then we need to have a lot of graduates of basic medical transcription course.
It is not surprising that Manila is now looking at Davao as an option. If you would also take a glance at the current population, all schools are offering allied medical courses, one example is the nursing course. It will not be impossible that all school will soon integrate basic medical transcription subjects into their curriculum. Not only that, computer related courses, it can also be integrated to their curriculum.
MTC Academy's main branch is already doing the school integration program, wherein the basic medical transcription course with the current curriculum of the school will be integrated so that a student will graduate with a certificate competency from the basic medical transcription course and a diploma from the 4 or 5 year course she or he took up.
As part of MTC, you would be asking why are we doing it? Yeah...yeah...money making is part of it but we need to WALK THE TALK. Transcription companies currently have a contract abroad to do medical transcriptions for them, if we can't be producing quality graduates of the basic medical transcription course then we can't produce transcriptions for clients and we'll lose our contracts.
In Blogie's article, the way I understand it, everyone needs to participate. Why I'm making the MTC Academy School Integration Program an example because for an industry or a company to bring up its name to the nation and to the world, it needs to start from the core. Like what Blogie is doing, never giving up on the idea, even though there are issues to be resolved. Davao has a lot to offer, and if it's just gonna be Blogie's job to tell the world that then no one will ever notice Davao. If we are all there and participate, then that idea would not be just an idea but am empire where Davao can be proud of.
(I hope I make sense)

Medical Transcription "CAREER AND JOB FAIR"
TADI was organized last January of 2007, headed by the President of MTC Academy Davao, Ms. Wit Holganza, is an organization focused on developing the industry of transcription and thus making Davao BPO destination of investors.
The Career and Job Fair will happen at MTC Academy Davao at E. Quirino Ave. (fronting Tower Inn), Davao City. It will be on June 16, 2007, with the participation of local medical transcription companies.
Call 222-6822 and look for Michelle or Hunee for more details.
Capital Times
Like in the university, I know they don't like to bring notebooks and they would rather type it out in their laptops. Inside coffee houses or cafe's, instead of talking to someone, you can see one person on his laptop doing something. Coffee house is a venue where you can have coffee with your friends and talk. Well, yeah you are talking to a friend online.
Sending SMS, widely known as text messaging, is another thing. Instead of calling, you'd rather send out a lot of text messages to someone. Now there's a new thing, MMS, you can send colored pictures to someone with or without text. And alas, the video calling. Isn't it great?
If you go back to history, you'll traced it from the remote control for tv, there's washing machine, there's the blender, juice maker, vendo machine, mobile phones with camera, ipod, and so on and so on. If you wanna take a look at the bottom part of why we are inventing all these, because we are lazy. I am lazy too, most of the times, because I used almost everything that was mentioned earlier.
This is what had happened in the capital times. In marketing we call this innovation for better customer service. In reality, everyone really is not satisfied with what is in the present. We continue to look for something better and convenient. That's being human.
Capital times keeps on bringing up a new things for human to enjoy and be satisfied for a little time. I say, evolution of human beings, from a wandering nomad to a techy street smart executive.

5 Things I Do Everyday To Be Successful
I hope Mr. Starbucker wouldn't mind me copying the same title he got in his blog.
5 Things I Do Everyday To Be Successful
1. I tell myself to be always strong and I can do it. I don't know why but whether I am out to do something or I'm just at home I would tell myself that. Maybe because I'm in the marketing department of MTC Academy Davao, I need to tell myself that. Even before I am not yet with the company, to be able to help get the stress out of my system, I would say "Hang in there. Hang tight. You can do it."
2. Breathe breathe breathe. I'm still human, I need to breathe. Taking deep breath is good. It will help prevent heart attack (according to me of course)
3. Think positive. Whatever you think about yourself will make who you are the whole day. If you think you got a bad hair day, it'll affect the whole personality and you won't be able to do what you have to do. If that's the case, you better go back to sleep and wake up after an hour or when you feel good. Take a shower.
4. Say Good Morning. Even if it's a hot afternoon, don't forget to say good morning it'll make another person smile. Why? They will wonder, why did she said Good morning? (Sometimes a good sense of humor brightens up a person's busy day)
5. And last but not the least, SMILE. Never forget to smile. It brings out energy. Don't frown be a clown (I can't think of anything to rhyme with frown)
Well, I do hope it'll help. Write your comments.

What's the Big Idea?
What's the Big Idea? It simply denotes that a smallest idea ever can be a big one. The way I understand it, as an entrepreneur you got to think big. Think out of the box. Don't stop there, move along and bring it along. You'll never know, you'll pick up a pot of gold along the way.
Did anyone remember the story of a boy with his horse walking because he was told to go to a place to do some work but he could not remember the place. (Nah...So it was just my mother's another made up story) He went along, walking and helping people. He found a hut with a carpenter making a chair. He couldn't make it right only because he was too old. The boy knows how to do it so he helped the old man. He made the most beautiful chair, and even the person on the chariot noticed it. Offered to buy it, and the boy said, "No sir. It is for the old man." So the gentleman said, " You got a great heart, lad. Here, take this piece of gold and buy yourself a lot of wood to make a chair and I will return to buy them all."
I hope you like the story and you do get what I was trying to say. I'm just saying it out loud now. Now that's they big idea.
How can I make Money while blogging?
You can make money while blogging but you have to remember to be honest also. It is tempting but never attempt. Read along that blog and you'll learn a lot from it.
And the Story goes...
Do you ask permission when you borrow things?
Since it was there, you'd rather use it and then bring it back to where it was placed?
Let say, you got this very useful thing and it can be used by just anybody. Would you be mad and wonder a little why that person just took that useful thing without asking permission from you?
Another thing is that, that person says he told your comrade about borrowing it. Would you be mad at that?
Everyday stories are made up of little decisions that we do in every minute of the day that would lead to a reaction, feelings, emotion and would lead us to thinking especially when we were overuled with anger because we did not permit such thing to happen. Well, we don't care if the situation make us happy. Would it be best that even if we are happy we think deeply about it too?
In the story of saying sorry and thank you. We say sorry all of those times that we've hurt someone because we broke his watch but we seldom say thank you to someone who lend us his watch. I salute to those who frequently say thank you.
One comment was said and done. It'll hurt you nor make you smile. We don't like comments but we know it'll make us strong and it'll help us grow. But everything has it's right timing. When it is too much don't wait for the right time, say it loud. If it's definitely the right time then say it.
Been there done that. Don't you agree?

My New Found Online Friends
Personally what I've learned from blogging is that, I can make friends through the cheapest way possible. I was able to erase my negative thoughts about other people because when someone writes its blog thought, I know it came from the heart (except if you just copied it from the other blog, which is not good at all). Blogging is a mirror to yourself. It is more to chatting online. More to writing emails. It is you. You as a person. You as a human being.
I am proud to be a Davaoeño, and I am also proud to be a friend to someone online who is now my new found online friends.
Monday Rush
Water was cold. When I got out of the bathroom, air was cold. Dressed up quickly and I sat down for a while because I know it is still early. Left the house around 6:30 a.m. and still the air was cold. Finally I got a ride going downtown. Now, I got to deal with the traffic at the Bankerohan bridge. It's 6:50 a.m. and the number of utility vehicle is increasing because last summer, at this hour, there's not much jeepney's at the bridge. Maybe because everyone is anticipating that this is the first day of classes and kids are excited to go back to school. Plus, if you don't get there early it would mean you'd caught up traffic at the bridge.
I got to the office 7:02 a.m. and I know it is way too early from my working schedule. Like they say early bird gets the worm. Nah! I slept till 8 a.m.

Blogging: Right or Privilege?
Marie B. says:wherein I agree. It is true. Blogging is like freedom of speech. It is true also that blogging nowadays, are being used by most journalist. Either or, blogging really is for everyone but to make the freedom granted to us to speak what's in our mind, is also a responsibility to create blogs that does not make us look stupid in the end. Duh! Whether you got money to have internet connection at home and you make yourself look stupid in your blogs then I do believe blogging is not a right nor a privilege for you. Use it to help others not to bring down others.
href="http://www.yugatech.com/blog/?p=1792&cp=1#comment-136370" title="">April 11th, 2007 at 12:24 am(I can’t resist throwing in my 2 cents, so here it goes…)
The word “privilege”, legally speaking and as used by most people, implies something that is granted by authority.
Rights are more fundamental and speak to our innate sense of what is good, proper, just, or “natural”.
Granted, there is an apparent confusion with these terms (”privileges” are sometimes equated with “rights”). But when both concepts are used within the same discussion, what differentiates them, I believe, is that there is an “authority” that bestows privileges; privileges too, are not conferred to all.
To wit: All people have the right to blog. It’s just that the “privileged” are the ones able to do it (this situation, however, does not change the nature of blogging being a right).
I say, I do commit mistakes in writing down my blog. I can also say, that's my art when it comes to blogging. But hey, it is my right and I got the privilege. It is my right to commit mistakes.
Technorati Profile
Halo Halo
Ice crush, sweetened banana, evaporated milk, sago, leche flan, ube and ice cream. Actually, there's more to that, I just don't remember it all.
It was so hot today. I need that kind of food because it'll make me colder inside. Seems like the airconditioning unit gave up with the heat of the sun. Halo-halo, only in the Philippines? I guess. There's ice dessert or commonly known as Gelato dessert in the United States. What else are there outside the Philippines. Good thing in this country, any fruit that you can find in the market you can actually add it up to your halo-halo.
Try it! You'll love it.
Cuz Sugar's Blog
My cousin live in Pasay City. She has a blog before but she forgot her username and password. Now she has a new one.
I would love to see my family doing blogs. I say, "Hey! It's old but new to me and besides I can learn a lot from this. It can be my personal diary or it can be my ear when I'm pissed off. And I can practice my sentence construction. So everyone, if you find some grammar errors please do leave a comment. Thanks!"
Job Vacancy in Davao
Soon I'll post some job vacancies of other companies as well.
Marketing
Marketing is never easy. But once you get the hang of it, things will go smoothly. Daily reports to weekly to monthly reports. Don't forget the progress report or else you won't get your boss smile. There's the competitors report, knowing what's in and out the market. Who's going down and who's the newbie.
Once you do marketing, the first person to sell your product is to yourself. You'll never get to sell it to others if you're not sold out to it. The second person to sell the product to is to your family. Why? Well they are most likely will be the one who will support you all the way through your endeavor of convincing people to buy your product. There should be someone agreeing to what you are saying.
Products can be intangible or tangible. It can only be an idea or the thing itself. Whatever is your product, don't sell it if it's illegal. Make sense?
Oh well, my marketing job started a little bit rocky but I hold on, and I will go on. I didn't get my target though.

A Talk with Lloyd and Nancy
Honestly, there are a lot of times that I wondered why they keep shouting when before I would hear them say "Tone down your voices because Hunee is sleeping". Then again I thought they respected the fact that I really need my sleep. One day, they began speaking in loud voices as if they were too far from each other. Most of the times I would be wide awake 12mindnight or earlier because I can hear them speak a loud already. And I get pissed off. Before I was told, "That's ok, you should be the one who should adjust." or "Let them be." I did! I shouldn'd be the only one adjusting but everyone else.
So what's the connection with the computer thingy? I just requested that my computer be turned off for at least an hour because the bios has errors. Bottom line, it's the battery inside that is losing power. I need to buy a new one. To avoid burn, or short circuit, better you have to take care of it before it will happen.
Mixed it all up, ending, hurtfully ever after. Everyone is hurt. I am too, especially when you are told "I got a lot of respect for her because I live in her house." What do you mean? I don't care whatever is the answer. I may be pissed off before only because someone woke me up with a bit loud voice and it is happening again and again. And since I don't have anybody to hear me out, I write blogs. What's wrong with that. Ending, don't mixed it all up. It has nothing to do with the past.
